Message from James J. Lafferty, President
Warrior Weekend Corporation
April, 2026

The year 2025 is closed and I am happy to report that in the year 2025 we successfully completed seven four-day weekends for our American Heroes and their families.  We entertained a total of 120 people (soldiers and their families) and provided them the opportunity to spend quality time together as a family, away from the military and hospital environments.  As of the end of 2025 we have provided and completed a total of 126 weekends for these heroes and their families since we started the program.

These 126 weekends never would have happened were it not for your kindness and support over the years, and I thank you. The American Heroes we have cared for also thank you for making these weekends possible.  The weekends we provide for these heroes is an important part of their recovery process from their injuries, and we appreciate your generosity for making the weekends possible.  Thank you for helping us put a little sunshine in the lives of these American Heroes and their families.

Those of us that work the program are all volunteers and we are proud to provide the weekends for these American Heroes and their Families.

Please say a prayer for our miliary personnel, their families and our great country.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Warrior Weekend Program is to provide a weekend of rest, relaxation and fun for those injured heroes, and their spouses and families, who are recovering from injuries sustained while serving on military duty from the beginning of the Irag war to present. These individuals may be located in Military Hospitals, back on active duty or released from duty.

The purpose of the program is to give these heroes and their families a weekend away.  During the weekend, we schedule activities for them, but the choice is theirs to participate or just relax and reconnect with their families.

These weekends are four days, Thursday thru Sunday.  The weekends are spent at various resort areas along the East Coast. They are put up in major hotels or motels with their own rooms.  They are taken to top quality restaurants, shown a good time and different events are scheduled for their entertainment, if they are interested.  If some of the troops would rather just spend time relaxing and being together, that is their choice.  The weekend is theirs to enjoy and at no cost to them.

How can you help?

This Program is small and personal and there are no plans to make the Program into a large operation.  There are no employees in this Program, we are all volunteers.  All funds raised for this program go 100% to the Program.

The key feature of the Program is that it is self sustaining and self supporting.  The Program operates with the donations received from various individuals, companies, corporations and various veterans’ organizations.

The Program completes on average seven weekend trips each year.  We have brightened the lives of many of these troops and their families, aided in their recovery process, and have made many friends.
