Participants from the St. Jude Parish will be interacting virtually with our faith community and get some exercise through a fun and flexible event! Each participant will be able to complete the Virtual 5K Race or Family Walk/Run from February 1st through February 7th. Even though we can't all physically be together, we can still all show support individually or with friends! You can complete the event all at once (5K Race) or do a little bit at a time (Family Walk/Run)! Come join the fun and help support St. Jude!

1. Will these two events take place at St. Jude Catholic Church & School?
The two events (5K Race and the 5K Family Walk/Run) are virtual events and will take place anywhere it is convenient for the participant. You can choose to complete it individually, with friends and/or with family members. The period to complete either event is from February 1st – February 7th.
2. How do I decide which event to sign up for?
We have two options for participants whether you are an avid runner or walker! Either way, you get a T-shirt and a medal as a reward for your achievement.
The Virtual 5K Race will be a competitive event where participants will complete the 5K distance all at once. You will need to enter the results for the total distance into runsignup.com. Also, the results will be posted by various divisions on Runsignup.com.
The Virtual 5K Family Walk/Run is for participants who want to have a fun activity and contribute to St. Jude. This event provides flexibility so you can complete it all at once or you can split your race over a few days. The 5K Family Walk/Run distance and times can be entered in increments in the Runsignup.com website.
3. Do I have to complete the entire virtual race distance all at once?
The Virtual 5K Race does have to be completed all at once on the same day. It is designed for avid runners and those that want to have a competitive event.
The Family Walk/Run is for everyone no matter what fitness level. You can split your race over a few days and they can be in any amount of distances as you feel comfortable! Whichever way you complete the distance, a cool finisher medal is a great reward for your achievement!
4. Do I have to run the 5K Race or the 5K Family Walk/Run event on a specific day?
You can do it anytime between February 1,2021 - February 7, 2021. This is an event that is “on your honor” so you will need to keep track of your time. Once you complete the event, please sign into your account at Runsignup.com and enter your distance and time results. If you are completing the 5K Family Walk/Run event over several days, enter your results as you complete them.
5. Do I have to run the virtual 5K Race? Do I have to run in the 5K Family Walk/Run?
The goal for our 2 events are to get you up and moving. Whether you choose to do the 5K Race or the 5K Family Walk/Run, you can complete your challenge outdoors by walking or running or indoors by use of a treadmill. For those participants that want to do a competitive event and want to post your best time possible, you should do it by running outdoors or an a treadmill.
We also understand that many of our participants have different fitness levels. For those that need a little extra time, you may want to participate in the 5K Family Walk/Run event. Here, you can also break up your distance into manageable segments. Just make sure your total distance adds up to the 5K (3.1 miles) and enter your times when you submit your results.
6. When will I receive my T-shirt and medal?
For local participants, Race Packets will be available for pick-up on January 30th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at St. Jude Catholic Church in The Gathering Place. The Gathering Place is the open area right outside the St. Jude Catholic Church entrance. For those participants that are not local or are unable to pick up shirt, we can mail to you. The bibs will be available digitally for you to print at your home or office. If you are not local or unable to come during the designated times for pick up, we will mail the T-shirt and medal to you at the address provided during registration. For your information, St. Jude Church is located at 21689 Toledo Road, Boca Raton Florida 33433.
7. Can I purchase additional T-shirts?
We may have a few extra T-shirts available. Please contact us at info@stjudeboca.org for additional information
8. Can I cancel my reservation?
We do understand that situations may come up where you may request a refund on your registration. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on registrations.
9. Will I be able to upload photos of myself, family and/or friends as we do the 5K or Family Walk?
All participants will be able to upload photos of the events by logging into your account at Runsignup.com
10. Will I be able to post photos of the event to Facebook?
We encourage all participants to post your photos on Facebook and tag @stjudechurchboca
