Fools Day 5K

With good intentions, many organizations address the symptoms of poverty by providing something for nothing. These handouts may help people get by, but they often end up stripping people of their dignity instead of lifting and empowering them.

UP St. Lucie, as our program participants call us, is a nonprofit organization that exists to break the cycle of poverty in our community through programs that focus on empowerment rather than entitlement. We are proud to serve an average of 400 families in need each day!
