Since its inception in 2011, the Interlachen Soup Kitchen Ministries, Inc. has provided almost ½ million meals to those who are homeless, food insecure, Veterans or in need of fellowship or ministry. We provide hot nutritious meals 5 days a week. (Approximately 500 per week; 26,000 annually). Over 12,000 pounds of take-home food is distributed monthly (144,000 annually). Also provided are donated clothing and other basic necessities.
We primarily serve low-income families and individuals with approximately 40% elderly, 30% children, and 30% other adults. Over 20% are veterans. Most are homeless.
