Gulf to Gulf 80 Mile Relay

 The proceeds of the Gulf to Gulf 80 Relay Race will benefit the Gulf Coast Runners Youth Development Fund.

Gulf Coast Runners, a non-profit social organization whose primary purpose is to develop and maintain running events and programs in the community, awards scholarship funds to the well-deserving area graduating high school seniors via the Gulf Coast Runners Youth Development Fund. Each year the club hosts numerous races to raise money for area youth to defray college costs. Applications are available through the GCR board of directors as well as through high school guidance counselors. Applications are due in early April and the scholarships are awarded at the Tropicool Race and at the annual high school senior awards programs.

The nearly 900 member organization raises the scholarship funds throughout the year via local race registration fees and donations to the GCR Youth Development Fund. The scholarship recipients display exemplary citizenship, community volunteerism, academic excellence and membership on their high school track and/or cross country teams.

Established in 1978, Gulf Coast Runners is a Naples based 501(c) non-profit organization.
