The Children’s House 5k for Play

We are delighted to announce the “The Children’s House 5k for Play”and 1-Mile fun run! This event will be held on Saturday February 24th, 2018. Our charitable fundraiser is being hosted by C.H.A.M.P (Children’s House Academic Montessori Program, Inc.) a 501-C3 non-profit organization who helps to support The Children’s House Montessori School of Ormond Beach. Proceeds from this event will go to towards new playground equipment for our school.

Race/Walk for Play will be a chipped timed race put on by Runner’s High Timing. The course will begin at Stonewood Tavern and Grill in Ormond Beach and will run south throughout the surrounding neighborhood. The racers will then turn around and race their way back to Stonewood. Plaques will be given to the overall top male and female and top Master male and female. Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers within various age groups and medals will be given to all children who complete the 1-Mile Fun Run. 

You must register by FEBRUARY 10th in order to be guaranteed a t-shirt!!!!

The Children’s House is a local Montessori School that has been in business for 20 years. We are the first Montessori school in our direct area to provide an elementary grade level education. The school uses Maria Montessori’s teaching methods which fosters the love of learning. Maria Montessori based her teaching style on the following philosophies: children should develop intellectually, learn how to care for the environment, and care for those in need.

Packet pickup and race day registration will be available at Stonewood Tavern and Grill beginning at 7:00am.
