St. Vincent de Paul St. Joseph chapter is hosting our first annual Will Run For Food 5KFun Run. We are looking for to raise funds and awareness to help with our goals. Our Neighbors in Need look just like you and me. Some of those struggling in poverty in the Brevard County areas have lost a job, have a disability, live on a fixed income or may be homeless. Our volunteers rely completely on donations and every dollar received goes directly to someone in need - we helped more than 3,500 families and 1,200 homeless last year. Every little bit helps, and we can do a lot with a little, but even more with a lot.
We need your help to help others. Here is how your direct donation for our community is utilized:
We provide food (including meat) for 3,500 families a year and 1,200 homeless people. We also help provide emergency assistance for pharmaceuticals for elderly and chronically ill, emergency assistance for utilities for people who have had the power shut off or about to be shut off due to job loss, medical emergencies or family upheaval. Mothers and children are our main recipients facing a new wave of food insecurity and family separations. We also provide bus passes and clothing for homeless veterans and people displaced because of our poor economy and rents being so high. No act of charity is foreign to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
What can you do to help? Please choose a sponsorship level that works for your company. Each level comes with a set of perks. You can find description of each level on the following page, along with a form to return with your generous donation. We thank you in advance and may God bless all of us in these difficult times.
Thank you for being generous in your support and I have one more favor to ask of you: Please pray for our Neighbors, your Neighbors, who struggle to make ends meet.
Sincerely
Bruce Brosnahan
