WHY
Global Missions 5K Run/Walk benefits missionary teams from Parkview to visit nationally and internationally and to raise awareness for health and exercise in our community.

5K race starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. at Parkview Baptist Church and ends in the parking lot. Kids Fun Run will start at approximately 9:00 a.m. in the parking lot. Awards ceremony will be held after the races.

ENTRY FEES

Kids 5K - Student 19 and under - $15

Adult 5K - $30

Kids Fun Run - $10

T-Shirt Only - $15

Register before August 18 to guarantee a T-shirt.

COURSE
The 5K course is a chip timed and certified course. There will be water stations throughout the race.

The Kids Fun Run will be held in the church parking lot.

USATF Certified 5K Course # FL14044EBM

The purpose of the USATF course certification program is to produce road race courses of accurately measured distances. For any road running performance to be accepted as a record or be nationally ranked, it must be run on a USATF-certified course. In addition, the certification program is very important to the average road racer, as well as those of exceptional speed. Most runners like to compare performances run on different courses, and such comparisons are difficult if course distances are not reliable. No one can truly establish a personal best if the course distance is not accurate.

AWARDS
Top overall male and female. Prizes awarded in the following categories to top three male and female: 8 and under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Awards ceremony will be held after the races.

KIDS FUN RUN
The Kids Fun Run is designed to encourage exercise and make it a healthy part of every child's life. We want every child to leave the event feeling like a winner and sporting a medal. Life is filled with pressure and stress, let's allow kids to be kids and just run and have fun!

Kids Fun Run will start at approximately 9:00 am in the parking lot. Kids will receive a t-shirt.

RACE TIMING AND SCORING
The race will be professionally timed and scored by RaceSmith, Inc. The race will be timed using disposable, electronic tags attached to the bib number. Please wear your bib number to the front, pinned at all four corners, visible, and unaltered. Printed results will be posted at the race site and live online during the race at www.RaceSmith.com
