FISH OF SANCAP is a neighbors helping neighbors organization offering programs
ranging from emergency financial assistance to a food pantry; educational workshops
and social events. Additionally, we are focusing on Hurricane Ian disaster recovery
assistance provided to anyone who lives on Sanibel and Captiva islands as well as the
workforce that supports our island community.
Since Ian’s landfall, we’ve been offering Long Term Recovery assistance by providing
disaster related financial assistance and supplying residents and workforce with drywall,
bicycles, spackle, mattresses, grills for cooking and furnishings. Many of those
requesting assistance for Hurricane Ian recovery have never had to ask for assistance
before. Some are working household families, others are retired seniors—everyone has
been affected by Hurricane Ian’s destruction, and FISH is answering all requests for
assistance. In addition to our Long Term Recovery program, we continue to offer
programs representing our four major pillars – Food, Island Based Education, Social
and Senior Services, and Helping Hands.
Your support is critical as we continue to serve our community.
