FISH OF SANCAP is a “neighbors helping neighbors” organization dedicated to supporting those who live, work, or visit Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We offer a wide range of wraparound services including access to our food pantry, emergency financial assistance, island-based education, senior programs, and social support services.
As a designated United Way Resiliency Hub, FISH plays a central role in long-term disaster recovery following the devastating hurricanes of 2022 and 2024. Through our Long-Term Recovery Program, we continue to assist island residents and essential workforce members with disaster-related needs—from drywall, bicycles, and mattresses to cooking appliances, furniture, and financial support. Many who turn to us today have never needed help before—working families, small business employees, and retired seniors alike—each facing continued challenges on the road to recovery.
At the same time, we remain deeply committed to our four core pillars: Food, Island-Based Education, Senior Services, and Helping Hands. With increased need across all programs, your support is more vital than ever. Together, we can ensure no one walks this journey alone.
