As this is a free event, we ask that you consider supporting the community by bringing in the following: Shampoo, Conditioner, Laundry Soap, body wash, razors, cleaning supplies. new vacuum. Monetary donations are welcomed upon online registration, and at the event.
OUR MISSION The mission of The Human Trafficking Foundation is to bring awareness and education to all the surrounding areas of Tampa Bay about the perils of men, women, and children enslaved through the heinous acts of human trafficking. With community support and sponsorship, we will continue to provide resources to organizations which house, clothe, and help victims escape, as well as provide fundamental daily living skills. To light up the night, so each victim can find their way home - until they have ALL been freed. We have two main events through the year to raise awareness and support our Radiant 5k & 1 Mile run/walk and Light Up the Night Free community awareness event. We have also just started our free business training to train employees on signs of trafficking and who to contact if they see something they know who to reach.
Every year we choose from local organizations helping survivors to be our event beneficiaries. These are organizations that have safe houses, outreaches, and more. Current needs for one of the safe houses through Healing Root Ministry which is a survivor run organization includes: Shampoo, Conditioner, Laundry Soap, body wash, razors, cleaning supplies. new vacuum. Any monetary donations given through the website are then divided to be given to current beneficiaries.
