This summer, Horizons Atlanta at Woodward Academy was able to provide six weeks of safe, in-person programming to 150 scholars from the local community. We were able to provide swimming lessons, field trips, social-emotional learning and counseling support, as well as high-quality academics such as reading and STEM. Many of our scholars had been remote learning all year, so this opportunity was truly restorative and transformative for them.
As we look towards next summer and begin anticipating the needs of our scholars, we are aiming high with a fundraising goal of $100,000 to expand critical aspects of our programming such as:
- Increasing our Lifeguard Certification program from five to 20 students
- Expanding music and arts programming from three to five days a week
- Hiring a full-time counselor for the summer, and
- Enriching our Problem Based Learning curriculum with increased field trips.
Last year, we did not solicit sponsorships for our annual 5K Run, but included your logo and the logo of every business that has ever supported our program on our race shirts. This year, we are asking if you will support the Horizons Atlanta at Woodward Academy Virtual 5K to join us in our efforts to make our program even more inspirational for our scholars.
Sponsorship levels are as follows and include recognition of your business’ support on all promotional materials:
$2500
Sponsors one child for six weeks of summer learning and school year supports such as after school tutoring and Saturday swim lessons
$1000
Provides one field trip to local cultural and enrichment centers such as SCAD, iFLY, High Museum of Art, or Tellus Science Museum
$500
Covers one day of STEM-integrated visual art and music instruction for 150 scholars
Again, thank you for all of the support you have already provided to our program and our scholars. Your efforts allow us to continue to inspire, build, and transform, one summer at a time.
Sincerely,
Kristin Jackson
