Celebration of Nursing Scholarship 2017 5K Run

Come run or walk through the beautiful campus of University of North Georgia and downtown Dahlonega on Saturday, April 8, 2017. This professionally designated 5K course is on paved city streets with mature shade trees and moderate variations in terrain. This run/walk benefits the Kathleen Smith Spirit of Nursing Scholarship and the Parkinson’s Association. This event is hosted by the Tau Psi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.

Online registration is available. Cost is $30 if registered by 2/12/17, $35 by 3/22/17, or $40 through race day. Race day registration starts at 7:30 AM. T-shirts will be guaranteed with paid registration fee to all participants pre-registered by 3/1/17. Race starts at 9 AM. Awards start at 10:30 AM. Refreshments will be available before and after the race. Dahlonega has plenty of fine yet affordable dining and lodging for those who wish to extend their stay. Online registration closes at 12 noon on April 5, 2017. Same day registration opens at 7:30 AM on April 8, 2017. The Celebration of Nursing Scholarship 2017 5K Run will be a rain or shine event. There will be no refunds of registration fees.

Not interested in running but would love to donate and receive a t-shirt?  This year we are adding registration for ghost runners.  You can be a ghost runner by completing your registration by March 1, 2017.  This means you will not be actually running the race but will be donating to the event.  In appreciation of your donation, you will receive a t-shirt. Please select your t-shirt size under Ghost Runner in the Giveaway section of the registration.  Please note: All t-shirts must be picked up on site by the ghost runner on the day of the event.  If you do not pick up your t-shirt on race day, they will be available for pick-up only by contacting Carolynn DeSandre at carolynn.desandre@ung.edu.  We will not be able to mail any t-shirts for any registrants.
