ABOUT BACK ON MY FEET
Back on My Feet is a national non-profit located in 16 cities that uses running, walking and community support to help those who are experiencing homelessness and recovery from substance misuse return to a state of independence. In Atlanta, Back on My Feet partners with five shelters and addiction recovery. At each of these locations, they invite clients to join running teams supported by community volunteers that meet 3 mornings a week. Outside of runs, Back on My Feet staff meet with program participants weekly to create goal plans, remove barriers, obtain training, support job search and transition to permanent housing. Participants receive new running gear and have the opportunity to train for longer distances on Saturdays and participate in many races as a team throughout the year.

Cinch Bags
Back on My Feet provides all members with new running shoes and running clothing (shorts, shirts, socks and in the winter - pants and jackets). Program staff deliver the gear to members in the shelters weekly once they have attended 3 runs. Gear is packed out in cinch bags to easily distribute and for members to have a bag to carry their belongings in.
