Hi there! My name is Lily Kate Morgan and I'm hosting this race as a belle candidate for Junior League Gainesville-Hall County's Charity Ball fundraiser.
Charity Ball is an annual fundraiser for Junior League Gainesville-Hall County in which local Junior and Senior girls compete to raise the most funds for Junior League’s outreach initiatives. One of these is the Diaper Bank of North Georgia, which combats diaper poverty, an issue which 1 in every 2 American families face. Limited access to diapers risks infants’ health and impairs the abilities of mothers to work when they cannot provide diapers for their child’s daycare. Junior League also stocks food pantries inside of local schools through the Feeding Our Future initiative and encourages the love of reading in young students through the Literacy for Hall and Reading Crew programs, in addition to many short term projects. As a belle candidate, I am sponsored by the local organization WomenSource. WomenSource is a program which provides educational opportunities to local women of all ages and demographics, focused on helping them grow both personally and professionally. While this is a Junior League Fundraiser, all sponsoring organizations receive $1,000 and the winning Belle’s sponsoring organization will receive 10% of total funds raised.
