Des Moines Women's Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

Over the past 11 years, the Des Moines Women's Race and its participants have helped raised over $25,000 to support Girls on the Run Central Iowa, a program that empowers young girls through movement, confidence and community. Each year that support helps Girls on the Run Central Iowa serve more than 1,600 girls and 429 coaches across 96 sites and community locations across Central Iowa.

About Des Moines Women's Race Donations

Each year, we strive to strengthen our community by finding meaningful ways to raise funds, volunteer our time, and support organizations and initiatives that align with our mission around health, youth and recreation. When you make a donation, a minimum of 50% is directed toward Girls on the Run of Central Iowa, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Remaining funds are used to support additional mission-aligned programs and initiatives, which may include a mix of nonprofit organizations and community efforts. In past years, this support has included programs such as Raise the Bar Initiative, The Beacon Women's Crisis Center, Mason's Lighthouse and other local efforts making a huge impact in our community.
