WHAT WE DO.....
Run as One for Taylor began as a traditional foot race, uniting runners to honor Taylor’s memory. We introduced an exciting new format: an Amazing Race-themed event. This fresh approach brings people together for a day filled with challenges, teamwork, and fun. Participants form teams to navigate a series of engaging tasks, fostering camaraderie, and creating lasting memories. The event is designed to celebrate Taylor’s spirit by encouraging collaboration and community involvement.
Thanks to race fees and generous donations, we have supported numerous initiatives over the past year, including:
· Awarded two $1,000 student scholarships.
· Supported Winterset PTO (May Day Baskets).
· Donated two memorial benches to Winterset Aquatic Center.
· Race day raffle proceeds donated to Piece Works Quilt Shop.
· Recognized sponsors and volunteers on Taylor’s birthday.
· Donated auction item to Winterset Post Prom.
· Sponsored a holiday movie at The Iowa Theater.
· Sponsored two families through CRISP.
· Provided individual community assistance.
· Donated tickets to A Gift for Rebecca at The Iowa Theater.
Through these efforts, we strive to honor Taylor’s legacy of kindness and community support. Join us as we continue to make a positive impact and celebrate the values Taylor held dear.
