KAREN EBERT MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
All proceeds from this event will go to the Karen Ebert Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
The scholarship was established in August 2007 after Karen passed at the age of 43 from breast cancer. Since then, this scholarship has been used to support those things which were important in Karen's life: Her 20 year commitment to the St. Maries Junior Miss / Distinguished Young Woman program, and helping those with financial need reach for their educational goals. Karen was a "Be Your Best Self" champion, and we strive to honor her memory and support the community the same way through supporting the local Junior Miss / DYW program. We also seek to find St. Maries High School seniors who strive to be first-generation college students with a financial need.
To date we have awarded nearly $35,000 in Karen's name to worthy students.
