I Got Your Six Walk/Run

This inaugural I Got Your Six 5K Run/Walk was created in the memory of Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic and in honor of Officer Tyler Bailey.  On December 29th 2021, Sergeant Rittmanic and Officer Bailey were investigating a noise complaint call for service when they were savagely ambushed by gunfire.  Sergeant Rittmanic tragically succumbed to her injuries in the early morning hours of December 30th 2021 and Officer Bailey sustained grave injury.  Officer Bailey continued to fight for his life and is now in stable condition.  Officer Bailey now turns his focus to rehabilitation.  I Got Your Six 5K is a nonprofit event and all proceeds will go directly to fund two law enforcement program scholarships at Kankakee Community College, one in the name of Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic and the other in the name of Officer Tyler Bailey.  The family and/or their representatives will determine the requirements and qualifications for whom these scholarships will be awarded annually.  On behalf of the officers’ families and the Bradley Police Department, thank you to all of the race participants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
