Lake Effect Development Corporation:
As a 501c(3) Community Economic Development organization, we will Retain and add new jobs, investment and economic opportunity through dynamic partnerships and collaborations with existing companies and businesses, youth sports programs, hospitals/health centers, non-for-profit organizations, and government.

The Lake Effect name incorporates the historic and geographic aspects of the Southeast Side. It is the only part of Chicago that includes Lake Calumet, Wolf Lake, Lake George, Hyde Lake, and Lake Michigan. The communities that make up the Southeast Side include South Chicago, South Deering, the East Side, and Hegewisch.
