The 3rd Annual Run2beatPD 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Walk will help Parkinson's Awareness Month  go out with a bang on April 29th, 2017 in Forsyth, IL. Parkinson's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects 1 million people in the United States. Funds raised from this event will provide a scholarship for a high school senior in Macon County accepted to/enrolled in college for the fall 2017 semester with plans to enter the healthcare field. Remaining proceeds will be donated directly to the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF). Donations to the NPF will fund research in hopes of finding a cure and better treatment for the disease, and will also allow them to continue providing free education and support for patients, families, and the community.

For more information on this event, including scholarship, sponsorship, or volunteer opportunities, visit www.run2beatpd.com. You can also download the mail-in registration form on this site if you would like to pay via cash or check. For more information about Parkinson's disease and the NPF, visit www.parkinson.org.
