Shorewood HUGS is a nonprofit women's organization that works to make a positive impact in the lives of those in the community & surrounding communities, one hug at a time. We do this by hosting unique events & raising funds to fulfill wishes for those in need. We also fund several HUGS scholarships and support other local, non-profit organizations whenever possible. Founded in 2008 by 5 moms that wanted to give back to their community, we have grown into an organization of 50 women with a passion for helping others. As we approach the fall of 2021, we are preparing to fulfill our 1,000th wish! Wish recipients live within a 20-mile radius of Shorewood and are in need, disabled or deemed worthy of a wish. We have been very fortunate to have the support of our community during the past 13 years which has made our mission possible.
