The Gobbler Gathering is our Thanksgiving food basket giveaway for Tri-State families in need. For over 90 years, the Rescue Mission has had the privilege of partnering with the community to ensure local families have enough food to eat with their loved ones during Thanksgiving.
Last year, 1,800 Tri-State families received a Thanksgiving food basket for free that included a frozen turkey, produce and a variety of dried/canned goods. Of this total, more than 400 folks living in neighboring apartment communities welcomed a donated sack of the same items food basket recipients took home.
The full amount of the selected donation goes directly to the Evansville Rescue Mission.
