Description
Runners will be challenged to beat Beethoven as they run 4 miles to the time it takes to perform his 5th Symphony. The course will begin on Main on the arts campus and will tour the scenic River Greenway. Arts United's principal partners will be performing live along the course making this event an unforgettable arts experience. Runners will cross the Martin Luther King bridge entering into the majestic Headwaters Park. Runners will finish to grand fan fair at Freimann square in the arts Campus. Runners will then have the opportunity to join in the festivities of Fort Wayne's largest post race celebration.
The proceeds from this race will go towards Arts United's continued support of its principal partners. Arts United is a fundraising arts council that provides support to arts organizations and unites and coordinates arts efforts in northeast Indiana. Currently the organizations are ARCH, Artlink, Fort Wayne Ballet, Dance Collective, Cinema Center, Civic Theatre, the Historical Society, Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, FAME, the YouTheatre and the Voices of Unity.
Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female, top masters male and female, and individual age group winners. Do you want bragging rights for your business or arts organization? Teams can be established and competition is available for corporate and your favorite arts organization. Team ranking for corporation and arts organization will be determined by the number of participants for each category. Finally for the ones who really like to have fun, there will be an award for the best Beethoven and arts costume.
Packet Pickup and registration on Friday 6 pm to 8 pm & Saturday 7am- 8:14 am at the Arts United Center.
