Dawn of the Dunes Marathon, Half Marathon, & 5k

Unfortunately, the 2015 Dawn of the Dunes race is being postponed. I cannot apologize strongly enough for all of those hoping to participate. Of all of the races that I have been the race director, the Dawn of the Dunes was the most important to me because of where it was held, and what it represented for the city of Gary and Miller Beach community. I am currently looking for help in finding someone to take the race over, and make sure than it can live on and continue to be successful. Again, I apologize tremendously. As soon as a new date is set, the small number of participants that did sign up will be notified.

The 2015 Dawn of the Dunes Marathon, Half Marathon, & 5k showcase the beautiful Lake Michigan beachfront and breathtaking Marquette Park in the Miller Beach community of Gary, IN. The Marathon is 2- 13.1 mile loops that travel along the lakefront, through the Miller Beach neighborhoods, and next to natural woodlands, marshes, and more. The half marathon runs the same 13.1 mile loop as the marathon while the 5k focuses on the immediately Marquette Park area.
