Make A Joyful Noise 5k

Make a Joyful Noise 5K is Emporia's only 5K that surrounds you with music celebrating the God of all Creation! Even if you aren't sure about all that music, it's a great opportunity to just come out and run and be celebrated by everyone around you! This event is perfect for people from all fitness levels.  Those who enjoy leisurely nature walks will enjoy the breathtaking scenic views on the country course.  Runners who crave some challenge will enjoy the elevation changes and all terrain aspect of the course.  As runners and walkers complete the course, they will encounter others singing praises and cheering them on!  We hope you will join us as we run the race through a pretty amazing part of God's creation.  We are thankful to New Life Christian Church for starting this race and for the continued use of the property to host the event, as well as to the residents of Thorndale, where the race continues. 

Proceeds from this year's race will be split into 3 areas to support our local community. These include: 

• Continued support of the Community Blessing Boxes
• Emporia Christian School general fund 
• A local Public School need to be announced at a later date. 

Registration is $25, kids 5 and under are FREE! (if kids want shirts, there is a $10 charge) Super Series participants get 10% off with coupon code. Families of 5 or more will receive a discount on the 5th and additional family members after paying for 4 full price registrations.

New! Family Team category! Sign up your family as a team and the fastest family will win a prize! We will also have a prize for our 1st place finisher under 12 years old, as well as placer medals for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place men and women finishers!

All participants whose registrations are received by September 7th will receive a running bib with a time chip, a custom T-shirt, and a finisher medal (at the finish line). Participants whose registrations are received after September 7th will receive bibs, but we cannot guarantee T-shirts and medals.

Packet pickup will take place at New Life Christian Church, 1505 Rd 175, Friday September 20 from 4-8pm and Saturday September 21 from 7:15-8am.
