Description

Celebrate the life and influence of Miss Ellis at Havensville Rural High School Community Center's 2nd annual Schoolhouse Fun Run. Beloved teacher, Juliavinna Ellis, taught at schools in Pottawatomie County for almost 50 years, teaching nearly 1000 students; 43 years were at Havensville Grade School. Even after retirement, her involvement in the community was irreplaceable. She lived to be 93, and generations still point to her influence in their lives.

Our Schoolhouse Fun Run is hosted in memory of Miss Ellis. Money raised for this event is used to fund the upkeep of the school, now a community center, where she spent so many years. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Run or walk; there is a 1 mile or 5K option as well as a pancake eating competition, along with a free-will donation pancake breakfast that begins at 7:00am.

Registration opens at 7:00.  The 5K starts at 8:00 and 1 mile at 8:05.  The time limit is 4 hours (12:00 p.m.)  Breakfast begins at 7:00. Bring anyone you know to cheer you on and fill up on fluffy pancakes.
