Carl’s Cause is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to change the future of mental health by combating the stigma, creating awareness, and connecting people with vital resources. Founded in memory of Carl Specht, who died by suicide at 27, the organization turns grief into action and hope.

They’ve even taken mental health awareness to the stadium level — partnering with the Kansas City Royals to launch Mental Health Day at the K and being recently inducted into the Hall of Fame at The University of Kansas Health System, where they helped create the nation’s first Behavioral Health Navigation program.
