5K trail fun run for the whole family and a 50-yard dash for the kids, to benefit the YMCA. The 5K run takes you through the river trails, walking paths, grass, and one street. You'll run 3 laps before crossing the finish line. The 50-yard dash starts on Westchester and finishes in the YMCA parking lot.
The YMCA 5K Trail Run supports programs for youth in our community. From safe spaces to academic achievement to family well-being, lives are changed every day at the YMCA. Everyone has heard of the Y, but there’s so much more than people realize. From jumping rope to job preparation, from preschool to preventive health the Y strengthens communities. Local elementary school kids in second grade learn basic water lifesaving skills in the Free Splash Water Safety Program. Children have a better chance of reaching their full potential in the accredited Early Education Center for pre-schoolers Every dollar donated to the Salina Family YMCA has a lasting impact on the people of Salina.
