Description

Come and be a part of the 6th Annual Kansas Law Enforcement - Run to Remember 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile Fun Run supporting our heroes and honoring our fallen! This event will honor those law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and have given their lives protecting and serving their communities and to support the families they have left behind. Put together a team in memory of a fallen officer, support an agency, or register as an individual. This will be a day for everyone to pay tribute and remember.

Pre-registration, bib, and t-shirt pick-up will be on Friday, August 24th from 4p-7p inside Fairlawn Plaza mall (across from The Dance Factory and next to Grandma Wock's Eatery). Race day registration and check in will begin at 6:30 am at Shelter House #1. Please note that the race will take place rain or shine. Registration is final and no refunds will be made. Race packets, including t-shirts, will not be distributed after race day.

EVENT INFORMATION

All preregistered participants will receive an event t-shirt with their entry fee. Late entrants cannot be guaranteed t-shirt availability. Runners and walkers are allowed to push strollers as long as they start at the rear of the pack. All 5K and 10K participants are required to wear their race number visible on their front side at all times during the event. Participants are instructed to position themselves in the proper area of the pack at the start of the line so they do not interfere with the progress of faster participants behind them. No participants may wear skates or roller blades, and no animals or bikes will be allowed on the race course during the event.

PARKING

Parking will be allowed at Shelter House #1 and #2 and additional free parking will be available at the softball diamonds adjacent to the shelter house.

AWARDS

Medals will be given as follows:

10K- Overall top 3 women and top 3 men. Each 10K participant will also be given a finisher medal.

5K- Overall top 3 women and top 3 men. Additional medals will be given to the top 3 women and top 3 men in each of the following age groups: 18 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
