Beattyville, KY, is a small eastern Kentucky town on the banks of the Kentucky River, where the north and south fork rivers meet to give birth to the Kentucky River. This 5K event will have you exploring Beattyville's Main Street, including the Farmers Market, shops, and the beautiful new Town Square. You will race along River Drive, which overlooks the birthplace of the Kentucky River. Our small river community has a large heart and great Southern hospitality. Since the historic flood in 2021, which flooded nearly every building on our Main Street, we have been working hard to revitalize our downtown. We created a Love Local Fund, which has helped purchase uniform signage for all businesses, awning grants, paint grants, and offered business support promotions. Proceeds of this race will go toward the continued projects of the Love Local Fund, and a portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the LCMHS Track Team, our race partner.
