Virtual SCAPA Run, Walk, and Roll 5K/10K

Virtually Run, Walk, or Roll a 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles)

Time frame:  Oct. 9-11

All registrants will receive a commemorative water bottle. It will be great to use when students go back to school in-person.

Distance:  Run, walk, hike, treadmill, roll for 5K or 10K.  This can be done in one single run/walk/hike or break it up and accumulate your mileage.

Race Benefits:  Friends of the Arts School (FOAS). This is the amazing parent organization of the School for the Creative and Performing Arts (SCAPA) in Fayette County. At this challenging time, their resources are stretched yet are needed more than ever, so this is our chance to make a difference in the lives of our students, staff, and the arts community. 

Water Bottle pickup:  We plan on doing a drive-thru race packet pick-up on Oct. 11 from 5-7 at SCAPA (4000 Lafayette Parkway).

Social Sharing:  We have set up a FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE where participants can share their "Big Day" and completion of their virtual race.  While we don't need everyone to submit their actual race time (since there are no awards based on time) we would like everyone to post on this page when they finish their race and share a photo, location and (optional) Garmin/workout data. 

Who Can Participant?:  Anyone from anywhere!  We only ask that you follow the CDC Guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic regarding social distancing and the limitation on group gatherings.  This is great way to unite virtually with your corporate group, place of worship, school/classroom, club or team.  It could even serve as a virtual family reunion.

Pricing:   Aug. 29-Sept. 19 ($15 a person or $50 for a family), Sept. 20-30 ($20 a person or $60 for a family), Oct. 1-8 ($25 a person or $70 for a family)
