2nd Annual Baby Steppin' for Life Virtual 5K to benefit Lifehouse Maternity Home

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

This verse is one of the foundations for Lifehouse moms. In our Lifepath program, Lifehouse moms work to raise their children by cultivating their parenting skills and life skills, as well as relying on God, to create a straight path for their babies to grow and thrive.

While the babies literally take baby steps, their moms also take baby steps to gain stability in their lives. The moms learn how to care for their little ones when they are inside and outside of their bodies, they develop faith and learn about Jesus, they learn how to grow healthy relationships and heal from past trauma, they get jobs, progress in careers, and much more.

Baby Steppin’ for Life, and your additional contributions, will help Lifehouse continue to be a safe haven for vulnerable, pregnant women and teens in crisis. Lifehouse provides care and support for residents and babies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you make it possible!

Lifehouse moms step through the Lifehouse door anxious about their lives, and step out confident and prepared to make a bright future for themselves and their children. You can help the moms take these steps with their babies!

Proceeds from Baby Steppin’ for Life will help provide residents and babies:

·       Basic necessities of food, clothing, and a safe home for up to four years

·       Evidence-based lessons on pregnancy, childbirth, infant and toddler care, parenting, healthy relationships, healing, life skills, and much more

·       One-on-one personalized care evaluation and coordination, needs assessment, job readiness assistance, money-management training, goal-setting, and education options

·       Transportation to medical appointments, connections to counselors and therapists, access to addiction recovery, school tutors, 24-hour staff support, and adoption counseling if needed

·       Faith development including weekly Bible study, weekly church attendance, daily prayer, and nightly devotionals

The Baby Steppin’ for Life Virtual 5K is not just an opportunity for you to get exercise or enjoy nature; it is also an opportunity for you to support our ministry, and increase awareness of the impact Lifehouse has on our residents and community.
