As a fundraiser we are hosting a Run & Walk 5K, where all proceeds would go to the University of Kentucky Children’s Oncology Hospital for Oncology Research. DanceBlue is an entirely student-run organization that brings together individuals with a shared passion for making a positive impact, but also creates a sense of community and camaraderie that can last a lifetime. DanceBlue spreads awareness for Pediatric Cancer. It first began as a way to honor Jarrett Mynear, a former patient of the clinic who passed away in 2002. One of Jarrett’s final requests was to “do something to help the Clinic.” As a student-run philanthropy at the University of Kentucky, DanceBlue raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer while supporting patients and families affected by it. Our saying is “Dance for the Kids.”
