LV5K

The Lauren Vaughn Memorial Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the memory of Lauren Vaughn. Our foundation hosts the annual LV5K event, which raises money for the Lauren Vaughn Memorial Scholarship and, in return, supports students in the NSU Accelerated BS to BSN program in Alexandria and/or Shreveport. This scholarship is awarded each semester to an eligible recipient in the nursing program. The LV5K event not only raises money for the scholarship but also brings the community together. Our first annual event had 806 participants from all over the country, making it the largest 5K in Central Louisiana. It is a day filled with camaraderie, support, and awareness of the importance of safe driving practices. By participating in the LV5K, you have the opportunity to make a direct impact on student’s lives and contribute to a cause that was close to Lauren’s heart.
