Sickle Cell Center of Southern Louisiana (SCCSL)

Donation Goal: $50,000

The Sickle Cell Center of Southern Louisiana (SCCSL) was created in 1984 to improve the care and quality of life of people with sickle cell disease living in Southern Louisiana. Since then, it has evolved into a comprehensive health program for children and adults with sickle cell disease and is based at Tulane Lakeside Medical Office Building.

The goal of the SCCSL is to improve the care and quality of life of patients with sickle cell disease. The center's staff of physicians, nurses, social workers, researchers, and administrators are dedicated to helping people with sickle cell disease of all ages. We offer comprehensive medical care, including individualized pain programs, education, exchange transfusion therapy, hydroxyurea therapy, bone marrow transplant, and psychosocial support.

Your support can make a significant difference at the SCCSL. By giving to the SCCSL, you help us provide essential patient support, meet critical needs, and ensure we have the resources to continue our vital work. Donations from generous individuals like you are crucial and will have a lasting impact on the lives we touch.
