Donations go to the Don Maynard Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to graduating Franklin County public school seniors.
In 2021 (with proceeds from the 2020 virtual race), $500 scholarships were awarded to Catherine Bezio of Frontier Regional High School, Noah de Ruiter of Pioneer Valley Regional Hugh School and Ruari Maloney of Greenfield High School.
