Personal Best Virtual Turkey Trot

ABOUT THE TURKEY TROT
Our traditional 5K race and 1 mile walk goes virtual. Whether you’re running through your neighborhood, in your local park or even on a treadmill, you can still show your support for Personal Best Charity. Anyone, anywhere can participate! You choose your own route, your own starting time, and your own pace. Proceeds from this year's Virtual Turkey Trot will go to the local food pantries, shelters and other community organizations that have benefited in past years from our annual Turkey Brigade.

WHEN & WHERE  
The 5K virtual run and Kid’s 1 mile run/walk can occur anywhere at any time during week of Saturday, November 21 – Saturday, November 28.

ABOUT PERSONAL BEST CHARITY
Started in 1995, Personal Best Charity, Inc. is dedicated exclusively to fund activities to support and feed impoverished families in Southeastern Massachusetts; to award Good Citizen Scholarships to graduating seniors in the Personal Best Karate family; to support children wishing to study and train in martial arts programs where they will be provided guidance and discipline currently lacking in their lives; to provide support for victims of domestic abuse.

Our biggest annual event is a Thanksgiving food drive known as the Turkey Brigade! It’s hard to believe that right within the local community we live in we have neighbors who don’t have the means of enjoying a holiday meal. To date, Personal Best Charity has delivered over 30,000 meals to local families. While the customary Turkey Brigade as we know it isn’t feasible, it appears that pivoting our efforts in 2020 by holding a virtual race and other fundraising events is the very best way we can continue the tradition of providing needed support to our communities.
