ABOUT LAUREN'S HAVEN
 

Lauren's Haven is a non-profit organization that supports families caring for their loved ones undergoing medical care by facilitating lodging and comfort during the most difficult of times. Lauren's Haven was founded by the family of Lauren (Fenton) Scibelli, a valiant native of Springfield, Massachusetts. Our organization is dedicated to providing a home away from home for families who travel long distances to be with their loved ones during their medical treatment. We believe that family is the best medicine, and we strive to provide a supportive environment where families can focus on what really matters.

Lauren's family experienced first-hand the inherent stress associated with trying to find close, safe, and comfortable lodging during Lauren's many hospital stays. During a moment of exhaustion, after countless times being asked by medical professionals if there was anything they could do for us, we finally said - well, yes. Could you please help us find somewhere close to the hospital to stay so we can be here at a moment's notice if Lauren needs us?

​Turns out, sometimes all you have to do is ask for some help. We were able to find lodging which was organized by the hospital and just minutes away from our dear Lauren. It brought us the deepest comfort to know we could sleep for a few hours (instead of on the hospital floor) and get right back to our girl.

​After Lauren's passing, her heroes - her husband and big brother - decided to leave a message of thanks in the guestbook. In part, the message read, "... the brightest of souls, she'll be remembered and honored for her selflessness and love - more love than for any one heart."

​With Lauren's Haven, her spirit of support will hopefully live on for other families facing similar trying circumstances. If you are in the same situation, please ask for help.
