The number of youth related crimes reported in the local and national news continues to rise. The use of social media has developed a level of anonymity that promotes judgmental and unkind statements towards others. The increased housing cost has resulted in more unhoused youth who often turn to crime out of lack of self-love and self-worth.
Using our seven precepts of Humility, Self-Control, Integrity, Courtesy, Discipline, Perseverance and Compassion as our foundation for leadership and our many years of experience working with and guiding youth. Our programs are designed to teach the values of respect, responsibility and kindness as a platform to lead by example. We first help each child to discover the greatness of their individuality before showing them how to recognize the individual greatness of others around them. This is how we cultivate an environment of leading by example. Striving to be the best version of yourself and empowering others to do the same.
What Assets does our organization bring to the table: Our director of programs has over 24 years of training in traditional Japanese karate and over 20 years of experience teaching children. The traditional trainings of this art form provide a natural foundation for leadership training.
