The Maine Outdoor Wellness Center is a nonprofit in memory of Roy Varney, an athlete, farmer, and loving son who passed away in 2019. Since our founding, we have continued our work in developing this community center. It is managed by a group of friends, family, and volunteers who maintain the farm, fields, and surrounding trails. Our mission is simple: To preserve the memory of Roy by providing opportunities to access the outdoors for all of Turner and the surrounding residents of central Maine and New England.
