Light em' up with Love

About This Event: **First 300 Registered Participants receive a special Glow In The Dark "Light em' up with Love" Medal

Brighter Days Ahead together with Girls Gone Miles would like to "LIGHT UP" the streets of Battle Creek"WITH LOVE "with a glow 5/10k Run/ Walk. On August 29,2015 we will " LIGHT EM' UP WITH LOVE ". You will see the streets filled with thousands of glow sticks and bright colors. Not only will this be the most exciting and colorful 5/10k you've ever been part of,but all of the money will go to deserving people and places!

Do you know of someone facing adversities in life that could use our help? If so, you can nominate them at lightemupwithlove14@gmail.com . Please write a short essay describing the person/place that you would like to nominate and explain the struggles they are facing and why we should pick them to be a finalist. A team of community leaders will go through every entry and narrow the candidates down to 13 finalist. When the 13 finalist are chosen you will then have the opportunity to place your votes on our website brighterdaysahead.us! The final four will be announced following the event on August 29,2015. So please come and join us as we LIGHT EM' UP WITH LOVE!!! There will be music,snacks, and lots of fun!!!

• Saturday Early Packet Pickup: 2:00pm - 4:00pm @ Sweet Kreation for You, 95 W. Michigan, Battle Creek, MI
• Saturday Event Packet Pickup: 7:00pm - 8:45pm
• Race Time: 9:00pm 

Registration Fees:

• Early Bird Registration:  April 1 to May 31   $30.00 (Includes T-Shirt)
• Early Registration: June 1 to July 31   $35.00 (Includes T-Shirt)
• Registration: August 1 to Race Day   $40.00 (Includes T-Shirt) **Online Registration Closes on August 27 @ 5:00pm.  Participants can register on Race Day**

Awards and Age Categories:

Awards: Awards will be given to the Overall Male and Overall Female Winners.  Medals will be given to the top 3 3 in each age group.

Age Categories:  14 and Under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60 and Over 

Timing and Scoring:

Timing and Scoring will be provided by Mac's Sports Timing using tag/chip technology.  Results will be posted at the event and online immediately after the event.
