March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness month.
The event’s legacy of building awareness and raising funds for colorectal cancer will continue while the focus expands to include all cancers. Proceeds from the Irish Jig directly benefit the Corewell Health Patient Assistance Fund.
Half of us need all of us.
One out of every two people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Even though they never signed up for it, they become runners in the hardest race of their lives. The battle against cancer can be as emotional as it is physical, and we need to rally around patients like never before. Half of us need all of us, and all of us includes you.
The Irish Jig raises funds to support people with a cancer diagnosis, along with the families traveling the journey with them. Your participation in the Irish Jig will grow the Corewell Health Patient Assistance Fund, which provides people with transportation, lodging, medical equipment and supplies, nutritional provisions and other necessities required during treatment.
You can give more people hope after hearing those three gut-wrenching words: you have cancer. With your help we can provide a lift for patients by leveling the ground, removing obstacles and providing comfort and care to those who need it most.
