Community Grants Fund
Thanks to racer donations, we were able to give $9,000 in 2023!
Since its founding in 2010, SISU Ski Fest has gifted over $60,000 to the community to promote silent sports and outdoor recreation, especially cross country skiing, in Northern Wisconsin and the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. $53,000 has been in the form of community grants, for example youth learn-to-ski programs, and another $11,000 to the City of Ironwood for initiatives such as acquisition of the Iron Belle Trail, Depot Park development and the Mt Zion Park overlook. Donations beyond race entry fees will be earmarked for our community grant program and will enable us to have an even greater impact on silent sports recreation in the Gogebic Range of the Western UP and Northern Wisconsin.
