The WMU Turkey Trot is raising money for Western's Essential Needs Hub. Essential Needs, formally known as the Invisible Need Project, provides access to food, personal care items, emergency funding, and other resources to ensure these challenges are not a barrier to student success. Our vision is a campus where every student at WMU has their basic needs met, empowering them to excel academically and personally
Here is what your contributions will go towards:
$10 can sponsor 5 Bronco Boxes, providing students with 20+ lbs. of fresh produce
$25 can purchase fresh and shelf-stable food options to stock the food pantry shelves
$50 can purchase graduation regalia, ensuring all our graduating Broncos can fully participate in commencement
$100 can stock bathrooms with period products as part of our Broncos. Period. program
$500 can provide funding for books and course materials for a student in need
$1,000 can fund a student facing a financial emergency that would impact their path to graduation
Essential Needs works directly with students through the following initiatives: WMU food pantry, Bronco Boxes, Student Emergency Relief Fund, Books for Broncos, Cap & Gown Exchange and Brocos. Period.
