Twilight Mile Mania is put on by Next Gen Distance Team LLC.
Thanks to the generous support of Michigan Running Foundation, our overhead costs are quite low for this inaugural race.
The proceeds from the race will be used to benefit the Waverly Cross Country team. Additionally, we have been raising money through Playmakers Fitness Foundation since 2023 to help our athletes afford quality running and racing shoes.

Our cross country team took a trip Woldumar nature center in September 2025 for a team building & ropes course experience. The cost the team was $450.00 and we were able to make this happy via donations.
We met our most ambitious goal from the inaugural race in 2025. With funds raised from Twilight Mile Mania 2025, we were able to subsidize 8 students attendance at Jazz Sauk Valley Running Camp. Students attended in July 2026 and TMM gave $3,200 for our students to attend.
Every summer we spend an over night up north near Cadillac to participate in a rural meet. This is also a team building weekend and experience to network with teams outside of the Lansing area and share and learn from their team experience which is different from ours. The cost is $60.00 per student for the shuttle to Cadillac, their portion of a shared hotel room and a dinner the evening before the race and lunch after the race. Race proceeds from Twilight Mile Mania 2026 will be used to subsidize student's travel meet to Cadillac.
