Hawke is 13 years old and has hydrocephalus.  This incurable condition has required him to have 10 brain surgeries.  Hawke is one of a million in the United States that have hydrocephalus.  Many people with hydrocephalus endure multiple brain surgeries as a result of shunt complications and failures.  Unfortunately, we are aware of many in our community with over 30 brain surgeries and our friend Mary who has endured over 100 brain surgeries.
