Description
This 5k is to shed light on the injustices and inequality within our society and our world. You do not have to complete the full 5k to participate. Social justice is based on the concepts of human rights and equality and can be defined as simply taking action within your communities, be present, be bold and be proud to stand up for all people. The funds acquired in this race will be put towards the student-led organization: Black Student Athlete Committee. Our goals are to build a strong community for minority athletes from all of campus to benefit from both mentally and emotionally. To add, we are much more than just athletes which is where the hashtag #GetToKnowME was founded.
