The mission of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks Foundation is to provide critical support to sustain the Metroparks for the enrichment of the people and the environment in southeast Michigan. The Huron-Clinton Metroparks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.
Launched in 2003, the Metroparks Foundation has worked to enhance and support the parks by securing funding for a variety of major projects and programs. Ongoing projects include planning for critical regional non-motorized trail connections and supporting educational programming for children and students across southeast Michigan. This event will support the Metroparks and Me initiative, a multi-year effort that aims to break down barriers that limit access to essential health, wellness, education and quality-of-life opportunities. To reach more children and adults in Southeast Michigan, Metroparks and Me aims to raise $2.4 million over the next three years to support growth of free water safety and swim lessons, as well as STEM education opportunities.
