What Your Donation Supports
All proceeds from the Turkey Trot go to the Two Harbors Trail Alliance, a local nonprofit that maintains our area trails and builds new ones. Your donation directly supports two of Two Harbors’ favorite trail systems:
Erkki Harju Ski Trails
These are home trails for the Two Harbors High School cross-country ski team, which uses them for daily practice and home meets all winter. Well-groomed, well-maintained trails give our student-athletes a safe, high-quality place to train close to home. They also help the next generation of young skiers get their start.
Lake County Demonstration Forest (Donald D. Ferguson) Trails
These wooded trails just outside town are a year-round favorite for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and quiet time in nature. They’re a place where families, students, and visitors can explore and learn about the North Shore forest right in our own backyard.
The Alliance also cares for the Bigfoot Trail. It is working toward a connected trail network for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fat-biking, snowshoeing, and enjoying the outdoors.
Your donation helps pay for trail grooming and maintenance, volunteer work days, and future trail improvements. That benefits our high school skiers, our neighbors, and everyone who loves getting outside in Two Harbors.
Thank you for running, walking, and giving. We’ll see you on the trail! 🦃🥧
