Description
The 2017 Roots N Blues N BBQ Half Marathon and 10k takes place September 30th, in Beautiful Columbia, MO. Runners get to experience live music on the course as they run through Columbia's trails, the beautiful downtown and the University of Missouri Campus before finishing at Stephen's Lake Park.
After the race participants can chow down on complimentary BBQ and Beer while listening to more live music. All Participants will also receive a discount code to the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival, allowing them to purchase tickets at a discounted price online a few days after they register.
Come experience one of the midwests best events! All runners will receive a special edition race shirt, one of the best finishers medals and a free BBQ sandwich and beer at the end of the race.

2017 Roots N Blues Training Program- Brought to you by Endurance Comapny
This may be your first race or your hundredth race. Whatever your skill level, this training plan will help you achieve your goal. Before you begin this training program, ask yourself: What is my goal? Why do I want to train? Is it to cross a ½ marathon off of your bucket list: Is it to beat your personal best? 2017 Participant Guide
The 2017 Roots N Blues N BBQ 1/2 Marathon and 10k in less than a week away! Attached you will find the 2017 participant guide, which is also available at the race website. It contains information on packet pick-up, parking on race day, the schedule of events, and awards, among other things.
Weather for next Saturday is looking good. With cooler temperatures and a low chance for rain, it should be a PR type of day!
We are excited to see you at packet pick-up at Tryathletics (1605 Chapel Hill Rd, Columbia MO 65203) from Noon until 6:00 PM both Thursday and Friday. If you can't make that we do have a day of race option at Stephen's Lake Park from 6:00 am-6:45 am, although we encourage you to use the Thursday or Friday pick up times.
We are once again excited to have Buckingham's Smokehouse providing our BBQ for the event.
